|About WCS - A Family Tradition, Kenny & Kevin Wentworth
Kenny and Kevin Wentworth have more in common than being brothers, they make up the core of Wentworth Contracting
Services. Since 2002, the brothers have been working together to construct a contracting company that focused on the quality
craftsmanship each of them are known for.
Kenny is the President and Lead Contractor at WCS. His experience is broad and his
commitment to quality is second to none. He's had many roles throughout his career,
most notably in construction management, as a lead carpenter and responsibilities for
the day to day operations of WCS.
Kenny has seen his fair share of on the job experiences, honing his skills from an early
age. Soon after graduating from high school, Kenny started working for Shamrock
Cabinets in Raytown, Missouri, milling and assembling custom wood cabinetry for
residential homes. Soon afterwards, Kenny went on to work Mid-America Door & Hardware in Kansas City and then onto Lead
Carpenter for Schloegel Contracting. Kenny kept moving up the ladder and was named Construction Manager at Hamele
Contracting in Kansas City, before opening his own shop in 2002, the beginning of WCS.
As a fully licensed and insured General Contractor of commercial residential and commercial construction, in both Kansas and
Missouri, WCS has successfully been awarded more than $9.2 million in construction projects through early 2015. What sets
Wentworth Contracting ahead of the rest of the pack, is a professional work ethic to do the job the right way, the first time and
not cutting any corners. With more than 50+ years of combined employee experience, the WCS crew have set the standard for
others to follow. Kenny's own track record of successes, coupled with a long list of satisfied clients, has made WCS one of the
premier contractors in the area.
Kevin served his country and spent nine years on active duty in the US Navy Seabee Civil Engineer Battalions,
stationed at NMCB in Oxnard, California. Kevin continued his service at NAVFAC in San Diego for the remainder
of his duty, as the Carpenter Shop Supervisor. Kevin still serves his country as a US Air Force Civil Engineer,
stationed at McConnell AFB in Wichita, Kansas. Kevin has had the opportunity to work all over the world, in such locations as
Djitbouti, Africa, Souda Bay, Greece, Diego Garcia, Naples Italy and Amman, Jordan.
Kevin's experience in Construction management, Personnel Supervision, Safety Inspections, Excavation, Demolition, Concrete
Finishing, Surveying, Framing, Painting, Fabrication, Carpentry and Renovations are just a few of the skills he brings to the WCS
Kevin's skills and knowledge are most certainly unmatched by most carpenter's and contractor's, yet he feels most at home while
working on projects in the city he loves.
